Representatives of REGTEK (Beijing) Technologies Attended the Regular Meeting of the GLEIF Vendor Relationship Group and Shared the Applications of LEI under the Concept of Regulatory Technology

     The first quarterly meeting of the GLEIF Vendor Relationship Group in 2022 was held online at 10:00 a.m. EST on February 15, 2022. Mr. Stephan Wolf, CEO of the GLEIF, Mr. Stuart Clark, Vice Chairman of the GLEIF Vendor Relationship Group, and Ms. Xue Tan, Business Relations Manager of the GLEIF, updated recent developments to the representatives of the members from the GLEIF Vendor Relationship Group. These updates included the global development overview of the LEI in 2021, the GLEIF’s upcoming update of the Common Data File (CDF), the update of LEI-related regulations and standards, and the development and application of the vLEI. Mr. Jun Zhao, Vice President of REGTEK (Beijing) Technologies, and Dr. Xi Nan, Director of Research, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, REGTEK (Beijing) Technologies shared a special topic on “LEI applications Based on the Concept of the Regulatory Technology”, demonstrating that REGTEK has organised financial technology and legal experts to further explore and develop functions of LEI in the digital economy era, and integrated the concept of GLEIF’s ecological governance system. The LEI-based KYC platform designed for cross-border financial businesses in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, on the basis of adapting to the diverse legal systems in three jurisdictions, realises the effective connection of KYC processes and improves the level of risk management and service capabilities of financial institutions.
